Ramya Swayamprakash
Dr. Ramya Swayamprakash is an Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies. Her research examines how infrastructure creation reveals the myriad social and political tensions that undergird our understanding of nature, nation-states, and political borders. Dr. Swayamprakash focuses on the site of the Detroit River, Canada, and the project’s ecology-oriented narratives.
Steve Nathaniel
Dr. Steven Nathaniel is an Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies. His research examines the intersections of literature, technology, and sound, with special interests in the relationship between communication technology and African American culture. Dr. Nathaniel leads research on narratives situated in the Midwest but beyond Detroit (including Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana), as well as the project’s infrastructural themes.
